Adam Shlahet is a Special Assistant Attorney General with the New York State Office of the Attorney General where he prosecutes complex white collar health care fraud. Prior to joining the Attorney General's Office, Mr. Shlahet was a criminal defense attorney with the Legal Aid Society in Bronx County, where he defended well over 2000 cases ranging from misdemeanors to violent felonies.
Mr. Shlahet has been working with Fordham Law's trial competition teams since 2004 and was honored to receive the 2011 Travis H.D. Lewin Outstanding Coach Award presented by the Trial Lawyers Section of the New York State Bar Association. Mr. Shlahet is also a certified trial training instructor with the National Institute for Trial Advocacy (NITA) and has served as a member of its faculty since 2007.
