Job Experience

Pall A. Davidsson is an adjunct professor at Reykjavík University in Iceland where he teaches corporate social responsibility. He has held various other posts dealing with the relationship between human rights, business and security. Currently he works as a Rule of Law Advisor with the United Nations Mission in the Democratic Republic of Congo developing strategies to ensure that all actors, including businesses, respect domestic law. Previously he worked on two United Nations Expert Panels, one mandated to examine the link between natural resource exploitation and the conflict in Congo, and the other reporting to the Security Council on the implementation of an assets freeze and other sanctions against Al Qaida and the Taliban.

Mr. Davidsson also served as legal officer with the Council of Europe, the leading European authority on human rights, and as legal analyst and human rights coordinator in Kosovo for the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe. Prior to embarking on his international career he worked as an attorney for a Reykjavík based law firm.
