Betsy Kramer is the director of the Public Policy and Special Litigation project at Lawyers for Children, Inc., where her practice focuses on improving the laws, regulations, policies and practices affecting children in foster care. She has also worked as a staff attorney at Lawyers for Children, representing children in abuse, neglect, voluntary foster care, termination of parental rights, custody, guardianship and visitation cases in New York City Family Courts. Previously, Betsy worked as a litigation associate at White & Case and as a staff attorney in the East Harlem office of MFY Legal Services. At NYU Law School, she was a member of the editorial staff of the Review of Law and Social Change. Betsy is a magna cum laude graduate of Harvard College. She is the author of "New York Raises the Bar for Interdisciplinary Practice in Family Violence Cases," Youth Law News, 4 vol. XXV October 2004.
