2009 Class GiftThe Class Gift builds and nurtures lasting, positive relationships between the Law School and those who support its students, faculty, staff, and/or programs through private gifts primarily made to the Annual Fund. The program encourages and inspires lifetime support and involvement. The Class Gift engages graduating students in philanthropy. For many of them, the Class Gift will mark their first experiences as donors and help them understand the value of investing in the shared success of Fordham Law. Goals: Each year, SBA leaders and the development team set a Class Gift goal, quantified by a participation percentage. Your participation in any amount always makes a positive difference. In past years, this fundraising endeavor was called the 3L Challenge, which excluded Evening Program graduates and LL.M. and International Program students. The program now embraces graduates from all programs, which in turn boosts participation and dollars raised. The Class of 2005 holds the class gift participation record at 29%. Last year, the Class of 2008 raised $6,446 with 22% participation. This is the year to break both records! Your class gift is a visible means of honoring your law school. It’s also a way to leave a legacy (and a challenge!) to future graduating students of Fordham Law.
