Moore Advocates Advance to Final Round of National Ethics Trial Competition

Marissa Carro ’14, Caroline Friedman ’14, Aaron Goldblum ’14, and Jason Tortora ’14, members of Fordham Law’s Brendan Moore Trial Advocacy Team, advanced to the final round of the National Ethics Trial Competition. The team was coached by Deanna Paul ’11 and Reza Rezvani.

Sixteen teams participated in the competition, which was held on March 14-16 in Sacramento, California, and hosted by Pacific McGeorge School of Law and the United States District Court for the Eastern District of California.

The Moore Advocates swept the preliminary rounds and were seeded first moving into the semifinals. The team advanced to the final round, losing by a vote of 3-2 to the Columbus School of Law.

The National Ethics Trial Competition is sponsored by Pacific McGeorge School of Law, the ABA Section of Litigation, and the Anthony M. Kennedy American Inn of Court.
